Thank you to all of the Chichester city centre businesses who have taken part in the launch of the Chichester Gift Card. We now have 124 businesses (94 independents and 30 multiples) on- board. With this volume of companies accepting the card we can ensure that the city’s gift card has the broadest appeal. But we also need you, the participating businesses to shout about the card and to actively sell the idea to your customers. e programme’s success is down to all of us, as a collective to get the message out there.
The BID team have also arranged to publicise the Gift Card via a new Digital Pop Up Radio Station, from Spirit FM – called “Christmas Spirit”. The objective behind this type of sponsorship is to get the message out about how great Chichester city centre is for shopping, eating, visiting etc, to as many listeners (potential customers) as possible throughout the day, over a sustained amount of time. With this type of promotion for the city centre, the expectation is that more people will be engaged and come in to Chichester to enjoy what’s on offer. The Gift Card is a key message within these broadcasts – if you are one of the 124 business accepting the card this is your time to promote it and sell the idea!
Christmas Spirit will be providing the soundtrack for the season by playing non-stop Christmas songs from 1st Nov – 31st December. The only thing you will hear on this station is the festive cheer of seasonal songs and specific messages from Chichester BID promoting the “Shop Local” theme this Christmas. It will be your very own Christmas Radio Station.
