Place: Cloisters Chamber, University of Chichester, College Lane, Chichester PO19 6PE

The Introduction will be by Professor Clive Behagg, Vice Chancellor of the University.

Professor Behagg is a member of the Board of the Local Enterprise Partnership which encourages economic growth across West and East Sussex.  The Board is led by business owners and local authorities with support from Universities and Colleges.  He will be explaining the aims of the LEP and how the University can interact with the business community of Chichester.

The Principal Speaker  will be Richard Plowman, immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Chichester.

Richard’s career has been as a Senior Executive in Research, Development and Marketing working in ICI, Zeneca and Scotts Garden Products. After taking early retirement he was appointed Secretary for the Leisure and Furniture Association successfully introducing a new Trade Show “SOLEX” into the UK garden industry. He was Mayor of Chichester in 2005, is a City Councillor and has been a District Councillor. Richard will be explaining how Rotary can work with businesses by Corporate Partnership and assist with Corporate Social Responsibility. There is also a framework for networking and opportunities for local businesses to obtain publicity by becoming involved with projects organised by the Chichester Rotary Clubs. Rotary is a worldwide organisation of professional businessmen and is a Registered Charity. It was set up over a hundred years ago to enable its members to interact in business with networking as well as providing benefits to the local community.

The Presentation will conclude with a short audio/visual display of recent activities that the three Chichester Rotary Clubs have undertaken to support various activities in and around Chichester.

This Event will provide an opportunity for networking and will explain how Rotary can help your business.

Refreshments will be provided and car parking is available within the University grounds.
